A registered mark, or a mark for which an application to register has been filed is assignable. Written assignments may be recorded in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a fee. In addition, trademark assignments filed on or after January 16, 2009 are required to provide the entity and citizenship of each receiving party entry. If the receiving party is a domestic general partnership or domestic joint venture, you must also provide the names, legal entity type and national citizenship (or the state or country of organization) of all general partners or active members that compose the partnership or joint venture.
At Trademark Island LLC, an attorney will manage assignment recordation on your behalf for an affordable service fee of $199 in addition to the applicable government fees. In addition, an attorney will provide you with a consultation to discuss your case.
